Coming of the Defenders-Part 3
Rozzteck was not happy. This was a rare occurrence, as often the mere presence of his fellow defenders was enough to make him and others smile. So as to the reason of him being unhappy was dire indeed.
It was the Empire. They had promised a peace treaty with the Republic and the Jedi. As much as everyone wanted to believe that the war was over, Rozzteck had doubts. That very notion made the whole Senate uneasy. The reason Rozzteck was uncertain the peace would last was that the Sith were inherently violent and cunning, and were not past instigating peace to weaken their enemies. A small number of skirmishes on the Outer Rim had only deepened his concern, but also proved that the peace was fragile.
One push would destroy it completely.
Alfrontofrinky stood at the gates of the Jedi Temple. He felt as though he was home again, sheltering safely from a vast shadow. He shook himself mentally-now was not the time. He was about to meet his new master-Master Yuon Parr, a powerful Jedi Consular. He didn't want to make bad first impressions.
The sensations of battle were different to what they used to be, Helicon thought. A Flesh Raider fell in two pieces, blood flying in a liquid cloud. He watched it float in slow-motion by his eyes, and resumed fighting. To onlookers, he was just a blur of saber energy and raw power, but for him, there was a structure. Slash, step, contract, jump, use momentum... But it was still different, and he didn't like it. He couldn't lose himself. There was something...there...
Then pain.

Thanks. I was thinking that that was when Bengel Morr makes his debut. Perhaps he and that insane twi'lek are allied?
